Zeiss recently launched a new visualization system known as the Tivato-700 for the spine community.

“When developing the Zeiss Tivato 700, we involved experts from around the world to gather requirements for MISS. Surgeons in this specialist field are not just interested in excellent visualization, they also rely on digital solutions, and value flexibility in positioning the device regarding different OR situations. These are requirements we are able to meet with our new Advanced Visualization System,” Dirk Brunner, head of the microsurgery strategic business unit at Zeiss, said in a press release.

Tivato 700 gives spinal surgeons access to cutting-edge technologies, according to the company. It features workflow-enhancing visualization and gives the option for fluorescence for assessing vessel latency. It also uses 4K technology so surgeons can easily visualize procedures in high-quality resolution.

“An aging global population plays a significant factor in the spine segment and we continuously strive to enable minimally invasive spine surgery for better outcomes and faster recovery times,” Ludwin Monz, president and CEO of Carl Zeiss Meditec, said.

The Zeiss Tivato 700 also meets reach and flexibility requirements needed for different operating room situations. It gives spine surgeons and OR staff the freedom of positioning, including endoscopic and heads-up surgery, especially when using long instruments.

Tivato 700 is all digital which means there is seamless entry into connected visualization systems. It features an intuitive and easy-to-use graphical user interface and can be integrated into a hospital’s existing IT infrastructure. It can also be easily managed through the Zeiss Connect app.
