VisionRT medical device jobs

Vision RT was founded in 2001 with a mission to develop pioneering technology for surface guided radiation therapy, with the goal of enabling patient comfort and enhancing treatment efficiency. As the company has grown, it has been privileged to collaborate with some of the world’s leading cancer centres and equipment vendors.

Fifteen years later, the company’s video based tracking technology is quickly becoming established as standard of care in surface guided radiotherapy. With a non-invasive, non-ionizing approach, there are now over 750 installations around the world.

Headquartered in London, UK, with an office in Columbia (MD) in the USA, Vision RT has a staff of over 160 individuals based around the world. As medical techniques become increasingly complex, the company is constantly developing its product range to help streamline the delivery of radiation therapy, with accuracy and patient comfort at the heart of its progression.

TECHNOLOGY

Vision RT technology is in use in over 700 Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) systems around the world, and is protected by over 40 granted patents, plus nearly 40 pending.

A product of more than 15 years’ refinement in both hardware and software, our innovations allow users to deliver Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) easily, quickly and with submillimeter accuracy*.

SURFACE GUIDED RADIATION THERAPY

What is Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT)?

Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) is a rapidly growing technique which uses stereo vision technology to track patients’ surface in 3D, for both setup and motion management during radiotherapy. SGRT can be used for many types of radiation therapy. There are numerous publications which support its use in the treatment of breast, brain, head and neck cancer, sarcoma, and other conditions.

The benefits of SGRT

SGRT can help in the following ways, which lead to many application-specific benefits.

  • Setup: SGRT helps speed up and improve the accuracy of setup.
  • Treatment: SGRT can reduce the need for immobilisation while helping to ensure the patient is in the correct position for treatment in all 6 degrees of freedom.
  • 4D CT: SGRT enables contactless, non-invasive reconstruction of 4D CT data.

Many companies, who profess an ability to help with your recruitment processes, will cite their large, high quality network of industry specific contacts as a reason for their differentiation from competitors.

Ultimately however, for all the size and supposed qualities of respective networks, the only relevant detail for a hiring company is how that network translates into a successful employee joining them.

At Guided Solutions we embrace technology to maintain industry links, we understand however, that a network that delivers unique results has its roots in traditional relationship building and the insights these connections yield.
