RLDatix acquires oneSOURCE to strengthen applied safety intelligence

UK-based intelligent patient safety solutions provider RLDatix has acquired healthcare medical equipment software-as-a-service (SaaS) database oneSOURCE.

UK-based intelligent patient safety solutions provider RLDatix has acquired healthcare medical equipment software-as-a-service (SaaS) database oneSOURCE.

The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

oneSOURCE offers online access to continuously updated instructions for use (IFU) and preventative maintenance documentation.

The acquisition enables RLDatix to strengthen its Applied Safety Intelligence framework by assisting healthcare delivery organisations in complying with global accreditation standards while encouraging safe use of medical equipment.

It is also expected to enable the company to combine the medical device IFU and safety alerts over time.

Furthermore, oneSOURCE will boost the capabilities of RLDatix to offer more products to facilities outside of acute care.

RLDatix CEO Jeff Surges said: “With oneSOURCE, we are further catalysing Applied Safety Intelligence – the move away from reactive risk management toward proactive prevention – while deepening our enterprise compliance capabilities that help our customers more effectively align with The Joint Commission and other global accreditors.

“This acquisition represents the latest chapter in our growth and further cements our position as the global leader in patient safety.”

A report by ECRI Institute identifies the lack of access to present manufacturer IFUs as a prominent barrier for sterile processing departments in charge of cleaning and disinfecting instruments and equipment.

Healthcare delivery organisations can leverage oneSOURCE together with RLDatix’s core enterprise safety and risk management solutions for critical data-driven insights that will help prevent safety events from occurring.

oneSOURCE cofounder and president Jack Speer said: “When we founded oneSOURCE more than a decade ago, we sought to create the gold standard digital medical and equipment database.

As part of the deal, oneSOURCE has joined RLDatix and will continue to operate as its own independent brand.
