Philips launches clinical trial accelerator

Royal Philips announced recently that it has launched the clinical trial accelerator on its Philips HealthSuite to improve trial efficiency.

The Amsterdam-based company’s accelerator includes a new, tailored set of capabilities to enable life science organizations to integrate, analyze and store clinical and patient-reported data from multiple sources, according to a news release.

Philips HealthSuite uses HIPAA-compliant, secure cloud capabilities to allow for patient-centric trials to take place at home and manage data collection while offering security and compliance as attempts to increase efficiency in trial design.

“Philips HealthSuite already provides cloud-based services and tools to a wide array of healthcare organizations, and with clinical trial accelerator we have created a tailored set of capabilities to support life science organizations,” Philips HealthSuite digital platform GM Dale Wiggins said in the release. “Our innovative, flexible cloud platform leverages our global healthcare capabilities and is supported by our compliance, security and interoperability expertise.”
